Does Tentaklos Exist?
You might be wondering if Tentaklos really exists or if he's just something that I made up. That is a matter of definition. The concepts that Tentaklos represents, love, truth, peace and action; those exist. But Tentaklos as a smiley-face with tentacles? Does he exist? I like to think that he sent me divine inspiration to make him up. Actually, whether Tentaklos really exists is irrelevant to the message of Tentaklism.

The Eight Tentacles, part 4 of 4: Tentacles of Action
"I make people stand up for what's right. I have aided many heroes throughout history. I am Courage."
We do not live in a perfect world. There is much injustice and evil. If good people do nothing, this will not change. When we see injustice take place, we should make a stand against it. We should not accept evil. We should always do what we can to make the world a better place.
"I make life worth living. Without me, the world would be a boring place. I am Fun."
What good is life if you don't enjoy it? While we should strive to help others, we should not forget our own needs and wants. It will be easier to make others happy if you are happy. Always remember to have fun! :)

The Eight Tentacles, part 3 of 4: Tentacles of Peace
"I make sure people are treated equally. I make sure no one is cast out. I am Tolerance."
In our world there is much racism, homophobia, sexism and other types of intolerance. This saddens Tentaklos. All people are equal and Tentaklos wants us to realize this.
"I turn enemies into friends. I walked the earth as Jesus to preach to the people. I ended up crucified, but I have forgiven those who did it, because I am Forgiveness."
If someone has wronged you in the past, don't hold it against them now. This will only lead to a vicious circle of resentment. If we are to live in peace with each other, we have to be able to forgive.

The Eight Tentacles, part 2 of 4: Tentacles of Truth
"I help people make good decisions. I have been known as Athena and Minerva. I am Wisdom."
How can you do the right thing if you don't know what the right thing is? Wisdom is knowing the facts, understanding this knowledge and knowing what to do with this. Wisdom is needed to know what is right and what is wrong.
"I prevent people from lying. I prevent people from stealing. I am Honesty."
When I say "Honesty", I'm referring to both honesty in speech and honesty in action. Honesty is important because deception is the root of much evil in this world.

The Eight Tentacles, part 1 of 4: Tentacles of Love

Compassion could be the most important of The Eight Tentacles. A person could do good for a lot of reasons, but the most selfless acts are done of compassion.
Compassion, this unconditional love that one person feels for all of humanity. It truly is a great thing.
"I create strong bonds between people. I have been called Aphrodite, Venus, Astarte and Freya. I am Affection."
While Compassion connects us with all of humanity, Affection creates much stronger ties to certain people. Surely, you agree that the company of your loved ones is something wonderful.
